1999 V70XC Fuel Smell Near Thermostat Housing

Got the ride put back together with the junkyard fuel line and no more gas smell or leak. This was a two for one: Since I had to remove the CV axle, also finally fixed the leaking cv boot by replacing the clamp.
Here's the damaged fuel line. I plugged one end and blew air through the other and definite air leak at the crushed area.

You got lucky with that and great job not just brushing the issue off as 'just and old car smell'. That could have got bad quickly!

Well done finding a solution and got to love that 2-fer repair while you were in there.
