Yes I'll see how it goes, I'll contact you by PM if necessary.

Well done finding the pictures! They are definitely different by a fair amount, including the mounting holes. There is also a different chamber on the front of the newer version.

So not a straight swap.

Crap.

I don't have a spare oil pump either. The question is there is a engine # break for different part numbers but it is not clear when that was.

WhiskeyRB26, do you have a note of your engine number? It should be on a label on the timing belt cover. If you have it can you post it so we can make sure we are looking at the right one. I don't wish to doubt your source, but we can try to double check it is correct. I think the part number you have may be for the earlier version which could be correct but we can check.

The seal kit only has 3 parts in it. The crank oil seal, a large O-ring for the surrounding of the oil pump and a paper flat gasket. It might be a case of the O-ring has shrunk and not building pressure.

I'm going to assume the pick-up tube was cleaned when the oil pan was off, so it is not blocked or partially blocked?

I don't have the label on the timing cover but it's supposed to be the B5254T in 2435cc badged by volvo as 2.5t and yes the pick-up tube was cleaned and it was pretty clean even before cleaning.

You might try just calling or emailing and asking Skandix - even though they don't list the parts maybe, they could know of a solution since they are experts. They do ship to France no problem. Also, there are a number of used parts suppliers / breakers in the Netherlands that I know of, that would ship to France and likely have the parts used. But you would have to just call or email them, in English (or sometimes even French) should work fine with them. Bon chance,

Hello, I'll try to see with skandix if they have by any chance a solution then. Would you have any names in the Netherlands for me to look into? I've already tried ovoko, which lists quite a few auto wreckers in various countries, and ebay, but I haven't found the right oil pump reference.

I see 3 possible ways here- 1- forget about it and walk away, 2- risk and try to obtain that oil pump from Ukraine and hope it os better than your old one, 3- remove pump and inspect how it looks inside. I believe there should be o structures in vida about how tight 2 gears should be to assure pressure, also remove 2 crankcase bearing caps and inspect for wear- if your bearings are gone, no matter the pump it will not help
