Accelration issues

I have pick-n-pulled bad MAF's before....did you ever try cleaning the original one, as apparently you were able to get it off.

Yeah I've cleaned it with no prevail. I don't know what else to do. My IAC is ticking, I cleaned the MAF, it has a new fuel filter. It also seem as though it is worse when turning. I may just be a little paranoid now though. It idles fine. No issues at all with that, it stays at a grand or less. Could it be my TBS?

Worse when turning certainly sounds like badly grounded straps that come off of your negative battery post. I'm starting not to suspect the MAF.

Would the ground cause it to not want to accelerate right though? Remeber it idles fine, and given a little gas (teeny, tiny bit) will go, but anymore will cause it to act eratic. It doesn't jerk or anything but decellerates and the RPM's stay about the same. And yes I ment TPS, sorry.

You never have told us which car you have...I assume an 850 due to being able to read codes from under the hood but a '93 uses different codes than '94 and later and this is also true of a 10 valve vs. a 20 valve engine. Please give us some clarification here and we can get on with the code deciphering.

Edit: Never mind, I found you have a '93 from an earlier post. Here's what I got...some different than what was found earlier, especially on A-1 but A-2 is about the same except the TPS:

I believe I'd go back to the pull a part and get the TPS.

Just for $hits and giggles.......how is the exhaust flow from the tail pipe????

The exhaust flow sounds okay when the RPM's are low, but it sputters when I try to gas it. Today after my last post before I went to work I decided to play with it some more. While I was pulling on the throttle cable I noticed that the small backfire seemed to be coming from the intake tube. While playing with it I broke the tube going to my Cat (it was corroded pretty bad and crumbled). Then the backfiring got a little worse. Anybody have a pic of the TPS? Just so I know what it looks like. The positive and the negative are fresh and clean. Not to long ago I scrubbed them down with battery cleaner. The battery is brand new. The day this all started I refilled the AC and sprayed down the ground plate in front of the battery with all of the grounds connected to it to clean it because it was corroded. Then things whent hellward about two hours later.

Could have sworn it was on the back side near the brake servo drum (at least on my S70)...but maybe that's where the wire connects from and goes to right under the IAC (Idle air control) on an 850. I found this in VADIS. I hope it's helpful:

I'd say there's a good chance this thing is whacked out giving false readings to your ECU fowling a ton of things up on your car. The instructions above give voltage readings which you should be able to read with a VOM meter. Or if it's a huge hassle for you, just get one from a pick-n-pull like mentioned above. I don't hear of these things going bad very much like I do the PNP switch or the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS) or even the temp. sensor.
