help please. crazy headlight wiper.

In my case, I'm sure it's not the way I'm operating it. I've had the car for 3 years and this has just recently started happening. The driver's side wiper will park itself at 12 o'clock and then return to it's normal "closed" position after a few re-starts of the car.
I think the wipers are a pretty useless creation and would just as soon disable them. So, how do I access the wire in question? What do I need to pull/remove in order to get to them?
Sorry for the stupid question, but it's really frustrating on what is otherwise a great looking vehicle. Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem only intermittently. Try this... When you see a headlight wiper out of park position insert your key in the ignition and turn to the position just before start and see if the wiper returns to park. Works for me.
