I've been considering the same oil, as I use it in my VW. Available at Wal-Mart too, which is a bonus. However what scares me is it is for diesel cars, correct? Isn't it too heavy for the 850's engine?
Not really. It carries both a diesel and gasoline engine rating and volvo recommends 5w40 for all temperatures up to 104f.

The only difference is the oil has better additives to deal with diesel engine soot and they don't skimp on ZDDP like API oils. I've been using this oil in a 240, 960, 850, Mercedes 190e and my BMW 318i. None of them have any leaks or problems.
Ambitious but rubbish
