A further check on BSR's website says "injector cyl 1, sig too high"...A wild guess of a signal that is too high is that it is an open circuit, therefore no voltage drop present...jerrymcc wrote:po172 cross references to ECM-0162 in PPC= "Injector=cyl 1"

Is this a turbo model? I know that smell, and it's from oil leaking on the turbo/exhaust manifold from mine from a clogged PCV system/bad oil cap seal.
Lift out the oil dipstick while the engine is running (and warmed up) and see if there is smoke puffing out of the opening.
