According to my grandfather they were partial Zeros when the USA was done with em. :? June
I fear we have awakened a sleeping giant

One of the most prophetic statements ever...
Did you know in the year 1970 three were left in existence still airworthy and all three can be seen in the movie Tora Tora Tora as the three lead planes. All the rest were made by Cessna for the movie and always follow the three originals. Just a little Japanese Zero trivia  .

I guess we missed three :x ! June

Three surrendered.

:-)

My Dad, in late evening of life, was in the RAF. Always liked to remind the Yanks that the P51 wasnt any good until they put a Rolls Royce Merlin into it.

My grandfather, WWI two tour Vet in the Somme was thrown out of the British Legion for this one over drinks one night

British Soldier - have you seen the Yanks march ? Pitiful and a disgrace..

Silent Tyoe Grandfather - They look like hell, but if I give a Yank a gun and point him at the enemy, he is the first over the top. And, he will never, ever run - like some of you did.

There was a very long silence while he walked out.

His job was to shoot British soldier who 'ran in the face of the enemy' in the back.

We now return to Telly Tubbies programming

Han Island falls within the 12 mile international limit of both Canada and Greenland (Denmark) so they fight over it each year
