Timing Belt Failure - How Much Damage Done?

I have it on good authority (that means it's a rumour ) that BILIA always loan out new vehicles during service work as this gives the client a taste of the new model. Apparently many two-or three year old car drivers upgrade because the loan vehicle was so much better than their own car....and it has a warranty.

How was the S40R by the way??

This is probably a topic for another thread - but anyway...

After referring to Carsales.com.au I think its called the S40 T-5 R-Design.
It was nice in that it was new, had no noises and was pretty quick. But it was a little isolating and you sort of felt that you were more of a passenger than a driver. Im a Volvo fan, but at a 60K + pricepoint I would hope it would capture my imagination more than it did.
But thats me being pretty subjective - and while I concur that offering hot new models as loaners is a great marketing strategy, I think that Bilia may have been genuinely apologetic for leaving me stranded.
