I'll take a look at it when I have some sunlight to see better. Yes, it does have trailer wiring, so I'll be sure to take a look at it as well.

Someone backed into my accord and took a small chip out of the taillight. I was in high school and didn't have money to fix it, so every time it rained the electrical system would go bezerk where moisture got into the lamp socket housing. Of all things, it usually meant the headlights would turn on but wouldn't pop out of the hood.

But I agree, trailer light wiring is usually NOT done the right way when installed after a car is bought from a dealer. That is one dealer installed option that if you think you may want it in the future to always buy up front (sunroof, too).

So I think that I have narrowed it down to a failing Hazard light relay. I was driving it the other day with the blinkers in working condition. I went to make a right turn and signaled it.... well it blinked for a split second before going dead. Sure enough, both sides were non functional. I remembered that back when this was first reported to me by my daughter she could turn off the car and back on again to get the blinkers working again. I pulled over and did just that. Sure enough it worked. Before pulling out again I pryed out the hazard switch/relay and had it just sitting there... still plugged in. I signaled left... no problem. Used the hazard lights.... no problem... signaled right and they crashed. while the car was running, I pulled the hazard relay and put it back in and my blinkers were restored.

I believe it was an earlier member that suggested that the switch might be having problems when it indicates a right turn and getting stuck.
