I've seen all the pictures. Those 10 mm nuts do not exist on my car. I do not know how much clearer I can make it.

I didn't see any 10mm nuts when I did the bumper cover replacement
To remove those 14mm bolts with the exhaust tips being in the way, a 14mm ratcheting wrench(a flex-head 14mm ratcheting wrench would be even better) is very convenient.

Got the bumper securing bolts off. I just removed the exhaust pipe from the rubber donut hanger and had enough play to get the wrench in and the bolt out.
No 10 mm nuts in evidence.
My brother and I swapped the bumper cover out but could not reinstall because the bumper mounting bracket was literally shards of rust. I'm beginning to think the pop rivets were about the only thing holding the bumper on. I'll have to scare up some new brackets. Hopefully parts on Tuesday and repair completed on Wednesday.

850 wagons have that 10mm nuts on sides.
V70 don't have them...they just slide onto side plastic guides.
