Re: Subframe bracket bolts are... missing
there 14 mm not 10 mm jimmy but im pretty sure the dimensions are right, I just remember 14mm. the guy posted the diagram, its on the diagram http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/showA ... ne%20mount not the bushing 1 but the 2 14 mm shorter bolts that go into the frame. how much shipping rspi? and were would i go to source these bolts again... to home-depot true value or what? and also if you look at the diagram you will see the bushing screw is going in upside down, why did they show it this way, as in my pic they all facing the same way... And yes i have been driving it like this sense ( no kid in car) but the other day i hit a big pot hole thought it broke for sure, like rim bending bang!!! But the rim didn't bend nor did the bolt break way. I think it should be fine for a few miles, I also was wondering how they would come out, wouldn't the bolt threads on both bolts have to strip? cause when i screwed another bolt in it went right in, so that means the holes are fine. and the bolts obviously didn't break of in there i don't think, so how could they come all the way undone? It almost feels like some one did it on purpose.. good think i always just mess with my car when I am board and catch 80% of things that are breaking. sorry for long post.

The bolt shanks are 10 mm, I pull these bolts out on cars frequently for the assortment of tasks requiring subframes be moved.
I use 10.8 grade 10-1.5's 30 mm long with a flat washer as flanged bolts are not stocked. On cars in the age range of 850's a 14mm shank bolt would have an 18mm or 19mm wrench hex unless it was a head bolt or other special app bolt. The long through the subframe bushing bolts are 14mm shank.

I saw the bolts you need on a rotary display with packaged nuts and bolts at O'Reilly's this morning. I would imagine other chain auto stores would have them too.
