Took a little while but managed to jump start the car and headed straight up to the auto parts store for a new battery. Picked up a set of plugs that I'll do as well because I'm going to guess it hasn't seen a new set of plugs in a long time given what else I've found. I'll order a new B+ wire as well since it is a known problem and then I won't have to worry about it. Thanks for all of your help. I really was surprised that showing 12.2 wouldn't be enough, but now I know.

I hope I am not in the wrong part to add my two cents worth on starting issues. I also have a 2000 XCV70 with a starting issue. I just replaced my battery and that of course helped but my car turns over like it is going to start and then changes to a low slight clicking sound; it's not like a loud click and kind of runs down in sound and quits. When I got my battery the shop (not a volvo shop) told me they thought it was the starter bendix gone bad. My VW/Audi/Volvo regular mechanic said he really thought I my injectors were bad so I have run some Mobil Techrron through it. The car will start right up (sometimes) but usually have to crank it over then quit that to the clicking sound 4-5 times to get it to actually run. Any suggestions on which is right, the starter or the injectors? Any help would be appreciated. I love my car, it has 240K miles on it and the engine runs like a top.
