Hey guys sorry it took so long to get back to you on this, but I fixed it!

First I'll answer your questions. The hose was an aftermarket (Uro brand) one from a local Volvo mechanic. Designed well enough I guess now that it run's so well.

I also tried disconnecting the battery but It finally turned out to be ignition wires! Man, I can't tell you how unbelievable it drives now. Everything is tuned so well since I did all of that work.

My original problem is still persistent, coolants escapeing out from under the expansion tank cap. I bled it yesterday after researching and it seems better but I finally called my uncle which teaches auto mechanics out of state. He has access to all of the publications I need. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be the Thermostat but I'm on cloud nine with the air/fuel issues fixed.

Thanks again guys and until we meet again on another post. Cheers
Arlie

Damn (but great) -- I was about to ask when was the last time you did an ignition tune up? The Bougicord wire sets on these cars can be amazing and last for 100K+ miles, but when I get to driveability issues with no clear cause, I always go back to my file of maintenance records and see when the last ignition tune up was. More often than not, an ignition tune-up saves the day. It always amazes me how frequently that basic aspect of maintenance seems to be ignored on this site., with people often assuming the problem is more complicated, without having first tried the ignition tune-up.
