I think the reason you may have seen more issues with the 2.5T is simply because there are way more 5 cylinder volvo's on the road then there are 6 and 8 cylinders.Sebil wrote:hi there,

I mean i can read here some head gasket issues, some cylinders issues, some turbo issues, and so on. I see that the car has a lot of miles, and so the engine would have died being old... but thats my question.

So there is alot more potential for failure due to higher numbers.
I personally have owned 4 different 5 cylinder engines, and have had zero issues with them.
