Well that's what I'm thinking but not what I want to hear....It did throw a CEL a while back but I couldn't get a code. I am wondering why I never got a CEL for the misfire. Is the harness to the OBD plug routed straight from the ECU? I wonder if removing, cleaning the pins and re-seating the ECU will help.

I would unplug the electrical lead to one of the injectors and run it around the block a couple times on four cylinders. Harmless and should immediately throw a p0304 or whatever so will tell you if it is throwing any codes at all.
