Re: AWD Evap codes but can't find issue w/Rear Subframe Remo

Gotcha, thanks so far you've been immensely helpful in helping me eliminate things.

I just blocked off the hose going to the fuel cap to eliminate it, and heard a hissing from somewhere near the front of the tank. Going to get a helper then investigate more. The fuel pump and rubber o-ring are new, so probably not that. Maybe on the other side where the sending unit is...

Well, I think I fixed it. I never actually located the leak. I re-tightened all of the existing oetiker clamps, and added some where it was necessary. It seems this is all the system needed. After re-sealing all of the hose junctions on the tank, I can now go to the gas station and fill the car up without the pump clicking off all the time either... so I know something was fixed. Perhaps removing the little air filter and cleaning that out helped a bit. Previously, I was only able to fill the car up by holding the nozzle in half way and sometimes doing 80-90% flow. Now I can just jam it in and let it pump full blast. Very happy.

The new fuel pump helped the hard starting issue immensely as well, due to the check valve being located in the fuel pump assembly. It was a worthwhile weekend!

Difficulty fueling occurs if the entry flap at bottom of filler tube is not opening or is the canister vent valve sticks closed or has debris (like a bug nest, spiders love them in the southwest) is in the way of it venting.

I did remove the vent valve and blasted it with carb cleaner, as well as "probed" the valve in the tank where the fuel filler hose connects with my fingers. (Bounced it up and down throughout it's range) Could have been either one that fixed the issue, then. Thanks for your guidance throughout this, I learned a lot about my car's EVAP system! :-)
