2001 V70XC Parking Brake Cable Adjustment

Some observations after servicing rear brakes including parking brake. All parts were replaced with OE/OEM.

1) The parking brake pad was stuck, came off with the drum, a millimeter thin, worn, cracked, and detached from the metal shoe.
2) The rear brake pads had uneven wear, driver's rear outer pad was seized at caliper, worn thin to a mm.

After the service and parts...
3) The rest position of front parking brake cable is angled, as it appears in OP.
4) Ratcheting the parking brake handle "walks the two cable" to a parallel position
5) Embedding parking brake shoe to the drum at 19mph was a few second long groan.
6) It is adjusted to fully engage at 4th ratchet.

All brake parts, front and rear a now new. Replacing brake fluid is a Spring project.
