83 244DL Starter engaging while turning left

Sorry for the necro i just got back from vermont. Its definitely the starter, I unplugged when the car was running and drove it around for a while. Possibly wires rubbing each other or metal somewhere. I am going to pick up the car this weekend so I can start working on it. I can't wait haha.

Install a temporary starter button until you get the wiring sorted out.

I'm going to replace the motor mounts and trans mount first and see if the issue persists. Then I will have to wire a switch in temporarily until I can figure out a more permanent fix. On a side note I tried adjusting my kickdown cable and really don't have much slack before I here the click and it stops moving here is a picture. Any tips?

*Edit* OK I detached the kickdown cable and it seems shift fine now so I'm guessing either its messed up inside (got a new cable otw from ipd) or I just suck at adjusting it. I'll keep tinkering with it.
