FLXC90- No there isn't any hesitation when revving the engine, does that seafoam stuff actually work? I've heard mixed reviews on it. IAC valve was another thing i thought. ill clean that out see if it helps.

Azik09- I have a B5254fs, ill grab some MAF sensor cleaner, maybe that'll help. Hope i don't need a new one think those things are pretty expensive.

Thanks for the quick responses guys.

The seafoam definitely worked on my car. It has 223k and when I got it, it had not been taken good care of. It is a testament to the hardiness of these cars. Anyway, My initial compression test was like 150-80-90-120-90, I seafoamed it once, after a week I repeated it, after that my numbers were 175-170-170-175-170 (nearest 5 psi increment) My motor had a LOT of carbon, and my rings were probably sticking also. It may not do much or anything for your car if it is clean, but it's only $10.

Also, before you look to mess with your MAF, try unplugging it and see if your idle changes, they don't always respond to cleaning, but isolate it first, don't just throw money at it. You'll know if it needs it.
Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)
