sorry, i have found the manual. I am in error because I thought to read the codes of error in the display of the dashboard. If I have understood well, I must read the sequence of flashes of the
led, just?

That is correct, you must read the lights blinking.
If you take the odometer out you can set it to match the correct mileage, but I would read the mileage a few times first to make sure it is correct.
There is a good write-up on how to advance the mileage on the odometer with the use a pencil and drill.

I got a 1993 850 GLT, and I just tried this and here is what I got... Just wondering what it means.

After pressing 5 times, and entering code 1-1-1 according to step 3,4 of original post, i get this response "10-3-1" ... After entering code 1-1-2, i get "1-10-6." if i understand this correct, the 6 digits of my mileage read as "1,10,6,10,3,1". Is this correct, and what does that mean? My odometer was broken for about 4 months until i found a used instrument panel and just swapped the whole thing.

It means that the panel is reporting 106,031 miles. However, since you changed the instrument panel, that is the mileage associated with the replacement instrument panel, not the car. If you want the true mileage of the car, less the miles since the panel change, I think you need to put the old panel back in and read the mileage again from Socket A-7.

Thanks Lee. I switched back to the original instrument panel and read 189k miles. So i read that really nice odometer fix on this site, and took care of that, plus rolled my gauge forward to account for mileage on the other ins. panel. Now i get to watch my car hit 200k sometime this summer :). Thanks again.

Thanks for the heads up about the mileages being attached to the particular gauge cluster installed in the car. I had thought it was stored in the ECU.

I've tried this twice and it works well. I used it to put the correct mileage back on my odometer after I fixed the broken gear.

NOTE! The instructions say to turn the key on. This means start the car, don't just turn the key to the on position! Mine would not work with the key in the on position, I had to actually start the car.
