I say check with Mathews sponcer sites first then maybe FCP Euro parts. Just make sure that the new part is OEM so that they will fit and work for that car.
Yeah it is illegal to sell used converters here.

Hey Kallekula, it's been a few months since you've been running your aftermarket cat, have you gotten a lot of CELs since? I live in NYC where guys will weld a new muffler and catalytic converter for $250 and just had it done to my beater (1999 Nissan Altima) and it came out great. Was really thinking about getting the same done for my wife's car. But I don't want the whole process to throw up a bunch of CELS.

I bought one from someone here, PM him his price, he posted it up discounted, PMd him back honoring his first price, he shipped it for free, and 2 days after it arrived my old one fell off in the driveway.

It is illegal for anyone in the business of selling parts to sell a used catalytic converter for anything other than scrap in all states, it is a Federal Law. I suppose there might be an "art" exception but that is about it.

You can sell used converters, but only if you perform the appropriate testing first.

http://www3.epa.gov/otaq/cert/factshts/catcvrts.pdf

The Pick-n-Pull isn't going to run a complex testing facility at which it acceptance-tests each converter when it could just sell the things for platinum instead, which is why you don't see many used cats.

Rich -- That's the place I used, but since I live in Jersey and Rockaway isn't too far, I just drove the old one over there and walked away with cash.
