Hello Everyone I have a 2000 Volvo S70 with approx. 135k miles. Over the summer the center bearing bracket to my drive shaft (I suspect all original) failed :( and the drive shaft rested on top of the converter luckily while I was close to home. Through divine intervention :o it fell in such a way that it did not flop around and barely scraped the catalytic converter. Thanks to MVS and Colorado drive shaft I was able to get my baby back to working order quickly. I haven't noticed any negative side effects from this incident and all the Catalytic mounting points all still look in good shape. During the winter when I had access to a floor lift I noticed on the catalytic converter pipe there is a clamp style bracket at about the halfway point under the vehicle. One side of the clamp seems to have come loose and I am curious if I should worry about it. The pictures below detail what I saw.
