Question, I should insert cartridge and then unplug it as it is docking?

I'd need to re-read the instructions, but no, I removed the unit with no cassette in the unit. Removed the top cover plate and wound the drawer out. I believe the reason some one may have recommended the other way may have been to save having to do that. I preferred to have it out of the way so I could clean the whole area. Just watch out for the little coil spring behind the LH end of the drawer door that hold the door closed when there is no cassette in it. I didn't and lost it!
