I did manage to whip off a calipervR/R on a warm January day a few years back in upstate NY, though.
I'm definitely going to buy new calipers, but before I replace the front calipers, I'm going to try once more to remove the nipples using a pipe wrench (waiting for it to arrive), as I just want to be 100% sure the braking system is ok before i start buying new parts, but I feel more confident now about tackling jobs.

Edit: if anyone laughed at the spelling errors then

This is the wrench

I know that even if it works it will damage the bolt on the nipple but I just need to bleed it a couple of times and then replace the caliper

That will definitely both get it off and mangle it. Its also useful for home defense.

Don't put it on your head when done, thats a Stetson, not a Stilson.

You don't need bleeders animal tight, they seal on a taper, not on the threads. You can actually seal them by hand, but they need a bit more tweak with a small wrench to stop from vibrating loose. A small vice grip will do nicely.

:D

I also added a mini butane blow torch, which will take my home defence up to another level. while adding a little heat to the nipple before the bolt gets mangled.
