Yes I knew after comparing dizzies. They like to use the exact same engine over and over and just surround it with different components basically I've noticed. I got a 91 with a regina, an 86 with the Bosch parts access to an 84 240 with the same engine and different wires, etc. They aren't like GM as far as innerchange is concerned.

700 series Turbo had head mounted distributor with hall sensor until the end of the 1989 model year. 700 series non-turbo had the head mounted distributor with hall sensor until the end of the 1988 model year.

I opened the wire up going to the hall effect sensor. It's got some type of plastic toobing but what's strange is that looked melted and warped so I cut into that and seen the 3 wires for about 4 inches. After that they all just turned into one giant thick wire.

Try testing the hall sensors middle wire (hall sensor located behind distributor) put one test wire in the middle wire and other on ground. When you crank the engine it should change from 0-2.5volts every time cam spins 4 times. If you are not getting power take the wire out of the connector and check good connection. The middle wire runs from distributor to the ecu thru firewall under drivers side dash. The ecu is black box and find the correct color wire and check connection. If you are getting good power to the wires then you should check your ingonition module. That is behind left front lamp between air filter and the side panel. If you have high mileage car that module could have broke and is only 20-30€ And really easy to change. People have said that the voltage on the middle wire is si low it needs to be well insulated so check that also. Sorry for bad english I hope you understand.
