Keep in mind U.S. oil standards are lower than yours. This car came from Illinois .We see lots of full synth cars using low end ,cheap full synth fully clog up the box ever 80 - 100K miles. I show it to every customer so they can understand that whatever oil they were using. Its time for a different one.

Here is the Southern US oil gets tortured due to the heat. Illinois is considerably colder though.
But it has only been driven in the US with US oil for 18 months or so... Using API SM/CF, ACEA A3/B3/B4 oil now.

Ok, maybe the heat in (southern) US explains why this pcv thing seems to be a lot bigger issue in the US than in Sweden!? For now (having two diperkids) I will stick to this solution, checking the pressure every now and then...

My '95 definitely needed the PCV job when I got it, having only been run here in NOR. That said, it had rolled way more miles than yours, and with less oil changes. Nowhere near critical even so, so it wasn't a rush thing. I don't think you need to worry all that much.

Biltema's got a lot of shady stuff, but like JDS60R says, it'll do fine for that job. :) If you keep up with oil changes and stage 0 stuff, you'll have a great car for a long time, with little worry. :)

The advantage of a US edition turbo 850 is that the service light comes on every 5000 miles!. A European every 9500 miles /15 000 km.
"Biltema" is the scandinavian Wall Mart for car parts! OEM parts are a lot cheaper in the US than Sweden/Norway

Naahhh :-) not entirely sure about that, my "norwegian" 850R triggers the service light every so often. I have not been able to pin it down to how many miles driven so I think maybe it triggers by number of start cycles.
