Quick update :
I ordered a cap and rotor from ebay the seller claimed that it was OEM well it wasn't and the rotor destroyed the interior of the cap and metal shavings were all over the inside of the cap. So I am making due with the original and figuring out what the problem is with it.

Update:
The cap and rotor I ordered on eBay wasn't oem. The rotor was marked Bosch the cap didn't have any marks. Upon closer inspection the cap's interior diameter was smaller by about 2mm to 3mm. The rotor was the same as the old one so I figured the cap sent was the wrong one. I don't think a manufacturing error was the situation here but who knows. I didn't hear any unusual sounds when it was installed and I started the car but the damage inside seems like I should have heard something. I will post pics in a few.

I got a used cap and rotor in good condition and seems to be doing the job. It's a Bosch oem and the contacts in the cap didn't even have arc marks so I figured it was pretty close to new.
