Lousy brake pedal feel

P80's are the same. We took the 06 XC with a lousy peddle feel to the dealer for the annual service and had the brakes flushed as it was last done about 4-5 years ago. Brakes feel great again and feel has returned, not the spongy feel it had.

Now looking at buying a pressure bleeder if I can find a decent hobbiest version (read affordable) that fits a Volvo master cylinder. At a flush cost of about $150 every 4 years or so (we don't do a big mileage) at the dealer and a warranty on the work, might make sense to just leave it to the professionals.

I actually have a cheap pressure bleeder (that attaches to the reservoir). But I did not get any improvement from flushing.

Don't get a cheap bleeder, they fail, Motive is good. I've reverted back to asking wife for help, but I gravity bleed to help cut down time, just watch the reservoir for both.

If your brake lines and bleeders are running clear, you don't need a pressure bleeder. You can bleed solo if you run lots of brake fluid through Tygon, looped up over the wheel to form a trap, and push fluid into the tube with a sharp,stroke, and then a slow return on the pedal.
