Am I "old and disturbed", LOl, maybe! Was that a joke? I don't see those words anywhere in the first post.

I'm about to order everything in the above list except the omit items, it is $88.19 the cart.
I have 3 different rubber elbows, not sure if that is correct but I'm going with it.
Added generic hose clamps:
2 MH-10
7 MH-12
4 MH-20
Added the vacuum tree o-ring 978111 at $2.27
Total is now $99.37
Hope I'm not forgetting anything, one kit includes fuel injector o-rings, do these need to be changed?

It's the 3rd post but Robert meant that the hoses get old and brittle and when you're messing around in the engine and disturb them they have a habit of cracking or snapping off.

Don't waste your money.

I have been through this before and posted a DIY below 4 years ago.

DIY: 1998 Volvo S70 GLT PCV Mod: no more smoking dipstick!
https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... hp?t=53448

The lesson I learned if I were to do this again:
1. Re-use the oil trap. Saving $30.
2. Use 5/8-inch heater hose instead of vent hose. Saving $40.

I will summarize for you:

PARTS For 1998 S70 GLT

- Heater Hose with ID = 5/8”, $6 for 6-foot roll at Advance Auto Parts.
- 956561...Oetiker clamp...qty = 4; $1.94 x4
- 976584...Oetiker clamp...qty = 2; $2.00 x2
- 977964...Oetiker clamp...qty = 2; $2.58 x 2

- 8653339...Short hose to engine block...$5.85
- 1271653..Short hose to engine block... qty = 1; $8.76

- 1271654..Hose to top of engine... qty = 1; $21.24

- 1271988...Oil trap $29.88 <--- NO Need for this

- 9146266...Intake manifold gasket... $13.86

---> Vent Pipe 9471644 <--- NO Need for this...piece of junk, save $40 for beer! This PN has 2 items: 3/8” pipe and vacuum hose. Do NOT buy this for 2 reasons:
a. The plastic pipe will break in 2-3 years.
b. The pipe is too restrictive for high mileage vehicle.
Instead, use 5/8” heater hose as I mentioned above. For the vacuum hose: use standard vacuum hose.

I do plan to reuse the oil trap, and didn't buy one.
I did buy the oil grade 5/8" hose on ebay.
I have a feeling that I'm going to have parts left over but I'm probably covered to get the job done.
When I have it all apart and see the plastic pipe, I'll replace it probably with copper tube.
Thanks for your write up, am going to go read it again to refresh my memory.
