Either way, the base tune is no longer there, so it's not treating it as a stock GLT and it should run fine if he's using the same injectors, turbo, etc. Although, the tune is still made for a 2.4 engine, while the other car is a 2.3. The tune will probably be off, but it should still work. Kinda like running a T5 on a GLT ECU (perhaps less extreme than that)... it'll work, just not the best. I don't know how much a tune will differ as far as compression and displacement goes, but it is worth mentioning that T5 ECUs are commonly used on LPTs along with a 15g/16t and blue/white injectors with good results.
