Any bypass pulley? Ac seized...

Eric. Google is your friend here. IPD stocks a serp belt for models w/o AC and provides a picture of the belt routing. All you really need is that picture. You can undoubtedly get the belt locally. My compressor pulley seized and I ran with a short belt for a while. The routing of the belt run is completely different. Your local dealer or NAPA, AutoZone, etc., will likely have an appropriate belt. No need to be adding any pulleys here, you are just bypassing the compressor.

The computer needs a good 12 V supply, it doesn't matter if it comes from the battery or the alternator

An alternator will generate voltage turning either way ( and not -12 V either) but you probably have the free wheeling AC pulley on your car so it will only charge turning the right way.

I thought serpentine belts were grooved on both sides? Or am I confusing with timing belts?

Pretty sure smooth on one side, grooved on the other, but it shouldn't matter. Get the proper belt and route it correctly and you'll be fine.

Ive got a good visual on this from recent work

Crank pulley, power steering pump and AC ride on one side of the serp belt

Tensioner and Idler ride on the other side

Both sides ribbed - now I remember one side of mine is cracking (the tensioner idler side) and the other looks good. Im going to flip it and run it another 200k miles at my next used oil change.
