Bad noise from the rear 1998 V70XC

Well...it finally warmed up here for a few days and I put in my spare VC. This seems To have taken care of the issue for now...as well as some other issues. Hope it stays fixed.

What did you find when you swapped out the VC unit? Was the bush or bearing bad that you could see?

Well doe getting it swapped out with the temperatures being what they are. We are als currently out of the deep freeze for a few days this week.

The VC did not show any signs of bushing/bearing wear, slop, etc...that I could see or feel. May be that I cannot put it under load like when it's installed. (No Play, No Noise, Spins Freely, etc..) This may be an internal issue. Anyway - just waiting for the next situation to come up(?)...
