Anyone had issues with Xemodex customer service?

Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.

Wow am I glad I own a '98......

What a mess and a costly one at that! Sorry to hear you're in Volvo Hell {whatever the Swedish word for hell is...}

I think Volvo fixed the ETM problems by my 2004 model year. My 2002 S80 T6 did not live enough years to get the problem as she was a total young. The 2002 had a annoying split second delay between petal pressure and throttle response that my 2004 S80 T6 does not. With the 2004 you would never know it is drive by wire. Also my 04 delivered 12/2003 now has 156K on the perfect working factory ETM. I think the first few years are the problem years.

If my ETM ever has issue I'll stick with genuine Volvo. After all it will come with a lifetime Volvo parts and labor warranty so it will be a one time affair on my dime. June

Never bought anything from Xemodex but I used to sell them harvested ETMs until I decided it was too much work for the money they paid. Reasonable people to do business with though, that's my opinion.
