Has the car had in the past the subframe lowered? This hose is attached to the subframe and when it gets lowered for some reasons the hose gets stretched between the pump and the subframe bracket. I haven't seen on forums warnings about this point, as there are quite a few who've lowered the subframe for tasks such as valve body replacement. Recently I lowered the subframe on my S60 to replace the solenoids and the hose pipe section got bent because I didn't detach it from the subframe.
