Re: Rear bulbs (LED) ?

I also tried cheap Ebay led bulbs, they were too dim if I remember well. As for the brake lights (the side lights that is), they are special bulbs with double filament so not sure how a led bulb will work in there?

I too feel the brake lights are not that bright on this car (S60). I'm looking into buying a strip like this and mounting it on top of the read windshield https://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-Universal- ... itleDesc=0

Beneath the strip you already have there? I've never seen one that was so dim. The regular brake light bulbs I'd just try replacing with new ones if they're old. I've noticed when replacing position lights the new ones always seem a bit brighter than the ones that have been there a while.

I replace two taillights on V70. It’s not dim and a bit more light than old R5w. Replace brake light and get error message. But in general, the light is not high as I expected.
I will modify REM to take errors out.

I realise I’m on my original rear light bulbs from Nov 1998 on my T5. Never replaced one.

Bulb longevity is, I suspect, greatly enhanced when you don't use the brakes. :D
