- Solder sometimes fail with constant vibration.

- Butt connector is bullet-proof, if done correctly.

- If you don't believe me, do a Google search using key words "car wiring butt vs soldering"...

Pick n Pull is a good source. The same connectors work back to 99 s80, S70, V70, C70. 2000 to 2004 s40/v40 are not the same.

The latest thing in "Butt connectors" produces ... gasp... a solder joint.
If solder joints where inferior, why would the "Butt connector" manufactures be going down this path ...

A solder joint spreads the stress from vibrations over a larger area. With a Butt connector all the stress is concentrated at the crimps, which are under stress to begin with. Think about it, butt connectors always fail at the crimp ... put two and two together.
