Baird park looks great. Elizaville pulloff from the Taconic might be easier and free, too

If the problem is still there try replacing your auxiliary belt (the main belt that drives everything) if thats old and slipping you can have a noise from it and drop in voltage from the alternator that is not able to provide enough current at low rpm...
Had similar issue in the past month or two and replacing of the belt seems to solve it, my battery is only year old Varta unit...

Hey Fosgate, thanks for the suggestion. Belts were all replaced about 25K back. Will double-check.

Really wondering if I need to just replace my battery cables already... With the new battery haven't had any issues yet. Will definitely keep an eye on it.

About two months later and have not had another ABS/TRACS flash since I replaced my 6+ year old battery. Our cars really are sensitive when it comes to the electricity...

I completely forgot about this thread but had exactly the same thing happen to my 99 T5 with a 7 year battery inDEC 2019. I put the battery in a 10 amp charger for a day and am doing that on weekends, so that I can get one more winter out of this battery , then replace next fall.

Upshot..a battery that cranks and starts the car just fine can still be too weak to reliably operate electronic cars, and the ABS seems to be the first thing to give symptoms.

I think these cars definitely need car battery intervals. A new battery completely fixed this issue. .
