I am unsure the desired value of the ABS sensors over the harness but I'm rather sure you have a problem there. Shouldn't be in the mega ohms range. Shouldn't be more than maybe a couple more ohms than the sensors themselves are total.
These were checked with ABS module unplugged, correct?

Re: ABS-0011 ABS-0012 new sensor, tone ring and box - no fix
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

Yes - unplugged - both left and right.wizechatmgr wrote: ↑09 Feb 2019, 17:59 I am unsure the desired value of the ABS sensors over the harness but I'm rather sure you have a problem there. And with a correct cabel connector (I have a whole kit with connectors so they fit properly).
He bought a new one for a later model - and when we found that out - we bought the correct sensor.
But they are both the same, it showed.
He changed the original sensor without testing it first, unfortunatelly, so here are the measurements for those two, at my kitchen table (litte wormer than out and the original cut out from the car):

The strange thing is the Check Engine light that comes on - without any engine related faults.... except the engine cooling fan not functioning - but it wouldnt go on anyway when its so cold - the engine doesnt come above 70-75 C (guess the thermostat is not currant).
The Check Engine light started to lit when the hydraulic pump/valve started to act.

Unless something is wrong with your multimeter, I believe both original sensors you just tested are bad and possibly the replacements.
I wonder if Matty Moo (Midwest ABS) can verify the sensor resistance here for your particular vehicle from what he's seen. I believe it to typically be ~900-1300 ohms.

Something is up with those OHM readings but I wouldn't concentrate on those at all.
LF always pops up with a faulty module, you'll get a faulty signal then signal missing codes, 0010 and 0011. You will never get a 0012 with a faulty module and the only time I have seen that code is with an aftermarket sensor. I have no written knowledge on why the 0012 populates or what readings cause it, only personal experience. There's no published information on it. The only reason I know that is by prodding people when they send back a core and say they still have issues, I then scan it and ask questions. The variable with that code has always been a bad/aftermarket sensor. I don't know which aftermarket sensors will work, I've just learned to avoid all of them.
At this point with the age of the cars the only reason I tell people to take an ohm reading on sensors through the length of the harness is only to show continuity since the actual sensors rarely go bad but the wiring going to them does.

Unfortunatelly I never got any readings before the sensor was changed.
ABS and Tracs lights lit - the sensor was changed (cheapest possible).
The lights remained and he drove to me.
Wit VIDA followings was registered - and still are:
ECM-6120 Engine cooling fan high-speed signal too low
ABS-0011
ECM-510D
And now when Im looking into the readings - I cannot actually find the ABS-0012 - dont know where that came from!
I have measured resistance on the wires between the sensor connector and the box. Its same on the right sensor side and left sensor. 0,2-0,4 ohms.
Can the hydraulic valve (under the pump) go bad on one line, to the left front?
I tested the pump today with VIDA (which is the only thing I can do) and it works.
The guy has bought two sets of sensors and removed two boxes from the scraper. And I found out his both inner steering linkages are busted. Id hate do change more things without beeing sure its the cause.

You're only going to have three variables with any issue on the front. Any issues within the pump assembly aren't going to do what you're experiencing, that's all mechanical and not electronic.
1-tone ring
2-sensor/sensor wire
3-loose or missing axle bolt.
back at the harness I suppose you could have a pin pulled out, but that's incredibly rare. It's imperative that you absolutely make 100% sure that harness is completely bottomed out.

I myself have had #3 before, passenger's side of my car appeared to cause brake on driver's to engage due to a loose axle nut seemingly at random. Was crazy as I wouldn't get codes or anything. Once torqued to correct spec I no longer had the issue.
BTW, thanks again for the assistance with that one.

Sensors should run about 1000-2000 Ohms , not MOhms
