One cylinder consistent misfire will trigger a flashing cell. Can confirm from experience.

Well, threw new properly-gapped plugs, distributor rotor/cap and wires in, and seems like the problem's solved for now! The old wires were Beldens actually, NAPA brand it seems. Will report back if the misfire crops up again. Thanks again!
