1996 850 12VDC port inoperative , standard?

The Volvo sockets are a bit to shallow for some plugs in my experience.

I found the later switch but I was not confident The switch size was preserved from P2 to P3 platforms

Are the S70 cigarette ligher sockets shallow. Took an aftermarket charger from our 03 Odyssey and it seemed long and would not stay in the socket? Tried both front and back console, both are the same. Charger just popped back out. Both sockets look new with no debris or any sign of corrosion.

I have had similar issues with P80 outlets with some plugs.

Don't look for and replace with a new deeper outet, rather change the charger?

I usually have to push the charger in again before I plug my phone in. It seems to back out. It's never actually fallen out, Though.

Found one in another car that does work. Not as snug as I like but has two cigarette lighter inlet plus two USB.

The one I was going to use pops right back up and disconnects.
