Hot Metal Smell Coming From Rear of Car

The only other thing I can think of is check the grease in the rear differential. I had some that got low on grease and heated up.

I'll check, Tbh I don't even know if the car even has a rear diff anymore on account of the incident (long story she's FWD now). I'll check it out and post an update.

The differential is still there, the wheels are turning and they are still connected to the differential ....

Everything seems to be fine, besides the aforementioned rotors. I think I will invest in a fresh set when I get a few pay checks in. Until that point I guess I'll "send it" until It makes the smell again.
