Need help replacing the Fuel level sensor (Driver side)

Is it possible the sender assy is secured to the pump unit itself ? That's how it was on my model year (and a bit tricky to remove, had to separate them inside the tank)

I guess its possible, I will check.
One question, in your car the long cable on the pump just loops back to the sender?
