try to clean put all the water under the carpet with alot of rags unless you like rust and mould.

Also: unless you have just worked on your coolant system, as soon as your reservoir is completely empty you should not just add water and keep driving. chances are extremely high something is broken. These ate not old V8s, they don't like running dry.
