You are correct, that’s why I’m trying to find the maximum pressure these units can withstand. It “seems” to be working perfectly from my past experience but I do not want to exceed the systems capability.

The maximum pressure is about 425 as the ECM will shut off compressor at that pressure. Some compressors have a blow off valve that dumps refrigerant at 440 psi

Ok, that’s good to know. That way if I notice that the cooling has diminished as engine speeds increase I’ll know I’ve exceeded the pressure limits of the system. I think I’m good to go because the outside temp of the engine compartment was obviously higher than my interior 85*F temps before I turned on the AC.
