I would also recommend sticking with the OEM/stock air filter brand.

Will the k&n increase performance slightly? Maybe. But they do seem to sacrifice the air cleaning aspect in a big way. Go ahead and read this attached study, and this linked article from a Nissan owner's club site to see what I mean, and make your own decision regarding the long term health of your engine.
