I think what is wrong is that it was still working at some point. I'm trying to figure out how did water got there. When opening the trunk, you can see a wire harness on the left corner, behind the windshield. This harness has a rubber 'gasket' when it enters the trunk, I wonder if this gasket is properly installed, otherwise water will leak inside the trunk.
