Does your car have the little fan for the ECM, mine doesnt, the ECM gets really hot on warm days. I have one on order, i hope its not lost at sea, i plan to wire it to activate whenever the ignition is on. Ive heard of people putting computer fans in there.
Yes, it has a fan in the ecm & Tom box. Runs also a couple minutes after the car has shut down. You may want to add a shutoff delay in it too.
I am using version 2014D. What year is your car? I noticed things change per car in Vida.

My car is 2001, its winter (15-20c) here now so car starts multiple times when hot no problems so far. My next plan of attack when i get my fan will be
1.removal of the ecm clean contacts/ re tension the pins.
2.Then adding some EMF shielding to the crank sensor wires that go past the starter motor.
3. Last thing is to check remove/replace the charcoal canister.
4.set fire to car

So far I have replaced:
Crank position sensor; error is gone
Maf sensor , stumbling is gone, but still longer cranking.
Swapped the Pem; no change.
Ignition coils replaced. No change.
Injectors replaced with a refurbished set. Better but still longer cranking then cold.

I have checked for spark when the engine is hot. I used an extra spark plug I had and a ground wire to ground the coil. It sparks after the engine has turned over a couple of times. Not sure if this is normal.

Observation rpm goes up and down during a (hot) start.

Left to do:
Reroute the wire to the starter away from crank and cam position sensor.
Bench test the purge valve.

When cold car starts okay, tachometers goes from zero to 700rpm
Starting when hot long cranking and tachometer spikes / jumps up and Down.

Fabricated a bracket to replace the worn broken bracket at the Rh corner of Engine to keep the wires up and away from the starter. The wire harness containing the crank and cam position wires routes over and behind the starter( perpendicular to the starter) and ties in into the front wire harness. 2nd option from PGills list?
I also removed the positive lead from the wire harness away from the cam position sensor.

I did not make any difference, still long cranking and tachometer jumping up and down.

Only solution is to replace the starter with a good used one what hopefully produces less EMI.

If you suspect computer overheat you can try running the AC, the air for the computer box is drawn from the passenger footwell.
even when things are running properly the computer is hot to the touch.
I popped the fuse to my cooling fan and in no time it was throwing a hissy fit, codes were being set from one end of the car to the other.

Edit, rerouting the the 12Volt cable to the battery made it worse. Put it back into the original position and it’s better. Still not great. The little bracket had a positive influence on the hot starting issue.

Our V70 has the same broken bracket but does not experience hot starting issues, which makes me think it is starter related.

On a lark, have you removed the ECM/TCM and cleaned the contacts? Obviously you don’t physically touch any of the pins/petals, cleaning is done with a spray. I recently overcame a several-month mogul by cleaning the contacts & lubing with sprayable dielectric grease.

To me that explains why it hard starts, no spark no run.
It might be worse on other sparkplugs too.

Ordered a CTA fuel pressure gage from Fcp.
Gauge shows 300 kpa & Vida shows 400kpa while idling.
The FPS has been replaced at 175k. Which one is correct?
Vida did not detect any codes.

Gauge is correct. VIDA aid probably calculating pressure based on PEM duty cycle.

Have you opened up PEM and had a look inside ?
