Smoke when letting off throttle

My smoke was white and ended up being an oil leak in the turbo.

Yes it smokes on startup but very very little

Smoke test for vacuum leaks if possible. Back to basics. Compression test look at plugs, etc. Ultimately, can be hard to tell about blue smoke. Put together a few more clues to guide you.

Blue or Blue-Gray and smells like oil? Color and smell are important clues don't fudge over them.

Black Exhaust Smoke is incomplete combustion. Will smell like unburned gas.

White Exhaust Smoke is steam (water).
Antifreeze in the water will give it a sweet smell.
If it is white but not sweet smelling it is condensation burning off.

Blue or Blue-Gray Exhaust Smoke is oil. Will smell like oil burning.

Try ATP205 for the Valve stem seals.

However, before doing that switch to Rotella T6. My 98S70T5 use to have a large puff and light smoke for a block at startup and it was due to blowby. During the summer I used a 15W-40 and a 5W-40 in winter. Significantly reduced the smoke and if it does for your car you know it's the piston rings.

The 15W-40 was not Rotella but the T6 is an excellent all year round oil.
