He is just selling wires that plug into the yellow plug, not it’s mate.

$35 is steep for wire

Aha, I get it now.

Wires with $0.50 connectors on the ends, or just wires?

If it’s just pigtails with contacts, they can be robbed
from other connectors. Even some car audio adapter
sets. Just snag a Metra set and de-pin what you need.

If someone can figure out who makes these sockets for Volvo we can buy this socket

I have an entire wiring harness stripped out of the 1998 , maybe one of these plugs will fit.

Update - this morning I tried fitting in some male terminals into the accessory plug and indeed the spacing and depth are all 'standard' - so you could cut one from a junkyard and use it to attach to the plug, documenting the pigtail color changes of course.

The accessory plug is and 8 pin, 2x4 in the standard Tetris configuration, with one column offset by one block

I hate to be an idiot, but it is Monday morning. Where exactly is that yellow connector found ? I'd like to use it for my radar detector.

Completely receiving a dead thread, but to anyone searching who may find this of use... the male connectors that perfectly fit in the yellow accessory connector slots are "963961-2" connectors. My dad's an electrical engineer and was able to figure it out from some part number searches on the yellow part. They can be purchased for 21 cents a piece from DigiKey: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det ... -2/2332297

You crimp your dashcam, radar detector, whatever's wires into one end, and the other end securely clicks into the yellow connector and stays put tightly. I've had my dashcam hardwired using these connectors for almost 2 years now, hasn't ever given me an issue.

Next digikey order I’ll throw these in the cart at the 250 level to get the squeeze and add them to the MVS love shipment thread
