Not correct! The phone is analog and AT&T did not honor their contract with Volvo to service these cars. The phone service discontinued years ago. This really frosted my cookies! I loved my carphone and On Call... I felt Volvo should have upgraded our cars with a modernized system. Volvo half-assed removed the phone as a recall. I refused to allow my car to be half-assed. Finally in 2016 I got Volvo North America to agree to just turn the software off while leaving the equipment in place. Mainly to stop the constant messages about the expired subscription... June

Looks like there is not a way to convert to 4g then. Phooey. I might still come up with something. I bought a 4g/volte flip phone that I think I can make work.
June, it would frost my cookies too if they turned off the service to my car telephone! It frosts my cookies just thinking about the fact that the telephone with module I bought from the junkyard is no more than a paperweight.
